pate du verre, or ‘paste of glass’ is a process of mixing glass powder and a liquid binder (in my case, Elmer’s Glue and water) to create a paste. This paste is painted into a mold and then fired to fuse the individual pieces of glass.
These pate du verre panels depict subway stations in Philadelphia.
